HSNCT Field by State

Here is a breakdown of the field by state. In total, 35 states, plus DC and Ontario, are represented at this tournament.

California – 13
Michigan – 13
Kentucky – 12
Illinois – 8
Missouri – 8
North Carolina – 8
New Jersey – 7
Tennessee – 7
Virginia – 6
Alabama – 5
Arizona – 5
Florida – 5
Maryland – 5
New York – 5
Pennsylvania – 5
South Carolina – 5
Arkansas – 4
Mississippi – 4
Oklahoma – 4
Vermont – 4
Wisconsin – 4
Indiana – 3
Colorado – 2
Delaware – 2

In addition, there are 23 small schools from 15 different states attending. Five are from Ohio, while no other state has more than two small schools.

Grand Junction High School and Treasure Valley Math and Science Center are by far the most remote schools attending, as they are each more than 500 miles from their nearest competitors. On the other side of the coin, St. Peter’s Prep and Stuyvesant are located on opposite shores of the Hudson River from each other and only a mile and a quarter apart.
