This blog was started to help spread the word about the National Academic Quiz Tournaments‘ (NAQT’s) High School National Championship Tournaments (HSNCTs) and provide live updates during the tournament to parents, friends, and any interested people who might wander in across the blogosphere. In 2009 and 2010, it was run by Chris Chiego, and since then it is being run by Harry White.

Before the tournament, you can find a variety of previews outlining some of the most promising teams and the top storylines at the HSNCT (click on the “Pre-Tournament Coverage” Category)

During the tournament, I will be providing commentary and statistics as the tournament progresses in the form of a liveblog. The link to the liveblog will be posted the day of the tournament and there will be separate liveblogs for the Saturday (preliminary) and Sunday (playoff) rounds. I will also periodically post statistics and important updates throughout the day on the main blog page. (click on the “stats” or “liveblog” categories)

After the tournament, I’ll post the complete stats and have a brief wrap-up before saying goodbye until next year.
